Kodak Moments is a consumer printing company. Along with their parent brand they have dramatically lost relevance in a world where there are more photos taken, and more photos forgotten, than ever before in history.
To help them grow and revitalize their business, we had to help find their place in the modern world. From brand strategy to product innovation to a relaunch campaign, we worked to redefine what a Kodak Moment is today.
REIMAGINED APP
We live, and take photos of, great moments all the time, but too often they get lost in our camera rolls. We redesigned and rebuilt the Kodak Moments App around an experience we called "Made For You" that intelligently surfaced great photos from your camera roll and put them into Kodak products that might interest you.
Kodak Moments Assistant
Social media has become the place where our moments live. We post. People like. We never look at them again. We created a bot for Facebook Messenger that surfaced specific photos, of people and places you love, and let you order a print and have it sent to yourself or as a gift.
While this was a marketing promotion for the holidays, its success has led Kodak to exploring it as an innovative new commerce channel.
The Kodak Moments Project
Rather than relaunch with a slick marketing campaign, we wanted to capture the real, everyday moments lived around the world.
Martin Parr is a Magnum Photographer and has legendarily chronicled the beauty and quirks of ordinary life for the past 40 years. Over eight shoots on two continents, we followed real families, groups of friends and events to capture Kodak Moments as they happen. The result was over 30 short films and countless photographs that remind us to capture, cherish and print the moments that too often pass us by.
For the tv and digital campaign, we used a simple copy structure to find the universal truth within hyper-specific moments in time.
Below is a selection featuring some of the films, in random order. See all the videos on the Kodak Moments site.
